Method

1. Cut off the top flaps of your cardboard box and set them aside.

2. Flip it upside down so that the opening is now at the bottom.

3. On one of the remaining sides of the box, draw a rectangle or oval that is at least as big as your face.

4. Cut this shape out. You may have to poke a hole through the middle of the shape first and then work your way outwards with scissors. This is the basis of your helmet. Your job now is to add detail, making it look as realistic as possible.

5. Cut out two medium-sized circles from the excess cardboard you removed earlier.

6. Glue them to one side of the face opening on your box to act as buttons.

7. Use your markers to add any extra detail like buttons or screws, or cut out more circles of cardboard and stick them to your helmet. You could even wrap tin foil around the smaller circles for extra futuristic vibes.
