3. Cut out your hearts and wings, making sure you’re using the scissors safely.
4. Thread a needle with a few strings of white thread — this definitely takes some practice so feel free to ask a grown-up to help out.
(It’s important to ensure your child’s safety while doing heart crafts by making sure they have an adult’s assistance and knowledge on how to handle a needle and thread properly).
5. Slot your wings in their correct position, making sure they’re in between the two layers of red heart. Then, start sewing, by pulling your needle and thread over and under, making a dashed line around the heart. You should be able to sew the wings in place, while also sewing together the two red felt layers.
6. There you have it, a unique red felt heart with wings for a loved one! If you want to go the extra mile, you could sew a short loop of ribbon to the top so that it can be hung as decoration. It’d be a great addition to have in your room on your door handle.
